Water for Life

boy drinking waterA strong, healthy and vibrant community and its people rely not only on an ample supply of drinking water but water of the highest quality. The Water Quality Program at the Board of Water Supply is aimed at bringing quality, confidence, and assurance in every glass of water you drink and every gallon you use each and every day using a three-facet approach:

First, working in conjunction with State and Federal agencies, such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH), water samples are continuously collected from the Board's water sources, and treatment and distribution systems to insure BWS delivers and meets the highest standards.

Third, the BWS wants customers to have the very best information available so that they know everything there is to know about their drinking water. Each summer, the BWS mails an annual Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) to customers. For more information, go to the Water Quality Report.
