Vice Chair


Jonathan T. Kaneshiro was appointed to the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS’s) Board of Directors on October 10, 2022. He became Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2024.

He is the Vice President of Investments at Oahu Waste Services, Inc., the largest waste hauling and recycling operation in Hawaii. In that capacity, Kaneshiro oversees the assets and strategic investments of Oahu Waste Services and its subsidiaries. This includes auditing and evaluating current assets, managing real estate holdings, and exploring new business opportunities.

Prior to that position, Kaneshiro worked as the Director of Strategy and Innovation at LIVMOR, Inc., a medical device technology company based in Irvine, California. He also worked as a Quantitative Analyst at the San Francisco-based financial services company Alambic Investment Management.

Kaneshiro earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil Engineering) with a Minor in Applied Mathematics from Loyola Marymount University. He also earned a Master of Engineering (Civil and Environmental Engineering) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Kaneshiro is also a proud alumnus of Iolani School in Honolulu.
