GO TO: Cross-Connection Control | Commercial Development | Project Review | Water System Standards

The Board of Water Supply Project Review Section responds to requests for water service from developers/subdividers, landowners, and realtors. The team evaluates the ability of the existing water system to accommodate the specific development request.

The Project View Section's major concern is meeting a level of water pressure and fire protection as covered under the BWS Water System Standards and the BWS Rules and Regulations.

We provide pressure and flow information for specific areas of our water system. This information may be used to confirm fire protection for an area, or to provide data for designing landscaping and fire sprinkler systems.

We review master plans of large developments often requiring additional water facilities such as a water source, storage reservoir, and/or transmission mains. We also coordinate the new development and how it complements existing and new water systems to form a more reliable water system.

We coordinate the BWS response to the City's Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) Subdivision and Site Development actions. This involves subdivisions, consolidations, easements, special design districts, performance bonds, and notification of completion of project.

We review all construction plans of private, City, State, and Federal projects which may influence and/or impact BWS facilities.
