The Hawaii Department of Health is holding a public hearing for the proposed amendment of Hawaii Administrative Rules chapter 11-280.1, changes that would require Red Hill to have secondary containment by July 15, 2045.

COMMENTS SOUGHT ON RED HILL PROPOSALS (NOVEMBER 19, 2019)

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) are requesting public comments on the U.S. Navy and the Defense Logistics Agency’s proposal to upgrade the large fuel storage tanks at the Red Hill fuel Bulk Fuel Facility.

    Approximately 350 people attended the joint meeting held at Moanalua Middle School on Tuesday, November 19. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Hawaii Department of Health accepted both oral and written testimony during the meeting. Written testimony will be accepted by email and by mail through 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Monday, December 9.
